Next Steps at New Hope Church in Chula Vista, California, are designed to help you grow in your faith, connect with others, and find your place in the church community.

Whether you're new to the church or ready to get more involved, we ask that you fill out our connection card. From there, we can help you find a Life Group, volunteer on a serving team, or take the next step in your spiritual journey through baptism or membership.

Baptism Sunday

Baptisms at New Hope

Baptism is an outward testimony of an inward transformation and the first step of obedience for a disciple of Christ. ​New Hope holds baptisms every other month from January-November. ​If you are ready to take this step, please watch the below video and sign up at least one week before scheduled baptism. For children (12 and under) interested in baptism or child dedication, please contact Pastor Jason.

Starting Point

Starting Point is an 8 week group experience designed specifically for those who are new to faith, curious about faith (yes, you can ask the biblical questions here that you are embarrassed to ask anywhere else), or coming back to church after some time away. It’s a place to learn and discuss those tough or intriguing questions new Christians may have about Christianity.

Membership

Membership allows for a handful of important things and also comes with some specific responsibilities. To begin your membership process, please watch the videos on the page linked below. Then fill out the membership form.
